BEST FIT FOR - Single individuals who are college-aged (typically around 18-25)

GROUP SIZE - 8-12 volunteers

PROGRAM LENGTH - Semester Abroad volunteers commit to 3 months (80-89 days) of in-country service in Ecuador.

LOCATIONS - Volunteers can serve in Cuenca or Quito.

DATES - There are three Semester Abroad groups every year and the dates follow most university semester schedules. We are now accepting applications for:

• Fall Semester 2024 (September - December) 3 spots left!

• Winter Semester 2025 (January - April) 14 spots left!

• Summer Semester 2025 (May - August) 16 spots left!

The semester abroad donation fee is $3,120 USD which includes:

✅ Weekly travel activities (planned by OSSO)

✅ 24/7 in-country support by Volunteer Directors

✅ Pre-departure and in-country training

❌ Visa (Stays beyond 90 days will require a visa)

BEST FIT FOR - Individuals (18+) or couples who want a short-term volunteer abroad experience

PROGRAM LENGTH - 2-8 weeks (Only available in two week blocks)

Volunteers are welcome to stay less than their entire block, or purchase multiple back-to-back blocks (up to 8 weeks total).

LOCATIONS - Volunteers can serve in Cuenca or Quito.

DATES - Two week blocks start on a Monday and end on a Sunday.

Please note that availability for short-term volunteers is limited and spots fill up very quickly!

PROGRAM LENGTH - 1-2 weeks

LOCATIONS - Volunteers can serve in Cuenca or Quito.

DATES - Family programs starts on a Monday and end on a Sunday.

Due to limited space, OSSO only accepts one family at a time in each volunteer location. In order to serve as many families as possible each year, we cannot offer extended stays beyond 2 weeks.

PROGRAM LENGTH - 2 weeks

LOCATIONS - Volunteers can serve in Cuenca or Quito.

GROUP SIZE - 12 teen volunteers + 2-3 adult guides

Guides will be OSSO staff members or volunteer alumni who speak Spanish.

DEPARTURE AIRPORT - Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC)

DATES - Summer 2024 is currently in session and closed for applications. Summer 2025 dates will be listed once available.

The Teen Service Adventures fee is $3,198 USD, which includes:

✅ Round-trip airfare from Salt Lake City to Ecuador

Orphanage Support Services Organization is now offering scholarships to volunteers who speak Spanish and English and are committed to serving in our semester abroad (3-month) program.

This is a wonderful opportunity (and resume builder) to live in South America and serve orphaned and at-risk children.
